Simple Italian Vinaigrette (Low Sodium)

Low sodium, DASH-friendly, this simple Italian Vinaigrette is a simple to make staple for every mindful eater. This recipe makes a batch for the week ahead, perfect for salad dressing, a also a great marinade for chicken. This recipe takes just a few minutes to make and requires a few basic ingredients and your favorite jar to keep in the refrigerator all week long.

Ingredients: (Makes 1 cup / 16 Tablespoons of dressing)

¾ cup Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

¼ cup Organic Red Wine Vinegar

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 tsp salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

¼ tsp Italian seasoning


Preparing this recipe:

In a food processor or with a mortal and pestle, crush or pulse to combine and garlic, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Pour vinegar mixture into your favorite jar or salad dressing container and add olive oil to the vinegar mixture. Close the jar and shake thoroughly to combine.


For an extra “creamy” consistency, add olive oil into the food processor with vinegar mixture and pulse until frothy. Pour into jar or salad dressing container.


Add to your favorite salad recipe or use to marinate your chicken for 1-2 hours before grilling!
